Peter Craft - Fellow of The National Association of Toastmasters
Calm and Supportive and Highly Professional
Your wedding day must surely be one of the happiest and most cherished days of your life and whether it be a Church Service or Civil Ceremony followed by the Reception, your main wish is that, after months of careful planning and organising, your special day runs smoothly with everything happening where and when it should.
By engaging a Professional Toastmaster, he will take over all the worries from the moment you arrive at your reception to the time when the evening’s entertainment commences so that the Happy Couple, together with the Bridal Party can really relax and enjoy the day in its entirety.
Close liaison and team work is essential to ensure the success of your day and with Peter’s warm personality and wide experience you can rest assured of a memorable occasion.
At a meeting with the Bride, Bridegroom and Parents several weeks before the wedding, he will go through the wedding day in detail so that everyone has a clear picture of the format, times and basically who does what and when. Numerous points are mentioned such as who will be in the receiving line, is there a guest book, will there be music during the day, who will be making the speeches and many more.
Talking about speeches, Peter is more than happy to help and advise the speakers on content, format, as well as touching on the emotional side of things.

On the day, he will arrive at the venue well before any guests or the Bride and Groom arrive from the Church and from then on, he will:
• Make sure the guests know where to go and where all amenities are
• Assist the photographer
• Arrange and organise the receiving line
• Announce the Bride and Groom into the Wedding Breakfast
• Say Grace if required
• Make any announcements as pre-arranged
• Arrange and announce the ceremony of cutting the wedding cake
• Announce the speakers correctly and in order
• Make sure that gifts are at hand for presentation
• Inform all guests of the evening’s entertainment
• Escort the Bride and Groom from the banqueting room
Apart from this there is constant co-ordination and liaising with the Banqueting Manager, photographer, musicians and other key personnel. This is an essential part of his duty and he can be as formal or informal as you like.
He has a tremendously warm personality without the need of being pompous or overbearing in any way. It is the Bride’s day and all attention must be directed at her.
Above all, his main concern is to ensure that the Bride’s day runs to perfection.
